Hi again... I've recorded a demo on my Tascam but because of my current job and living situation and also not knowing any studio guys around here (I'm on the east coast for 6 months), I am displeased with my demo. I want to try a PC program that will let me sing into the PC, with software capable of creating beats, guitar tracks, etc. I just don't have the time to do it the studio way. Any suggestions? I'm techno-jargon stupid, so simple words like "sing into the pc thingy..., get drum beat from... blah, blah, blah, are best. I really miss my studio guys. They understand that the song is in my head and I need help getting it onto audio! I'm pitching to a music publisher and only need to get my vocals (with harmony) and the "groove" on there. It doesn't need to be a masterpiece demo.

Thank you experts! Happy New Year!

I'd recommend Studio One by Presonus because I love it.

If you buy a Presonus AudioBox USB for $149.99 you get Studio One - Artist for free. Then you can upgrade to Pro for $200.00 which allows you to master and burn Red Book audio CD's ( CD's that will play in any CD player ). The interface has 48v phantom power for condenser mics and 2 channel inputs (XLR and TRS 1/4 "). The software comes initially with crazy amounts of beats, loops, sounds, EZ drummer lite, Kore player with a Presonus soundset, Presence which is a very nice little Virtual Instrument, and a Mojito Synthesizer. When you upgrade to Pro for $200.00 all of that stuff doubles. They give you more than u know what to do with.....P.S. if you don't upgrade, the beats and loops kind of suck.........upgrade is worth it.....Program is very simplistic to understand and you can just drag and drop effects, loops, and others right onto the track on the sequencer that you want.

By the way, if you didn't know, the Presonus AudioBox USB is a computer interface that allows you to hook mics and instruments directly into your computer. The AudioBox is powered completely through your USB port, so no need to plug it into the wall.
