recording 'on hold' messages..

this is a real sucky job i have at the moment ... im recording a heap of on hold messages .. u know when u ring up social security and theres that woman on the phone , or that guy off the radios on the line telling u how great this company is whos making u wait for ever. But the real question , is are there any special little tricks u can pull to get that radio type (almost sounds over compressed and very load) sound... doubt if anyones desperate enough to pick up jobs like this oh well , any help would be appreciated ... cheers all

if you want that compressed sound - press 1 if not - press 2 see ya - press 3 etc etc etc
