I have been told this can't be done, but I know for a fact it can, I just don't know how. Okay, here is my question.
I recently just had a son and have made a video tape collage of him and want to put it to music. How do I get the music on the vhs tape without recording over the movie collage? Thanks in advance.

You need a Professional VHS recorder. These have an additional two tracks for recording. Sorry, I have seen them, but cannot give you model numbers. I know Panasonic makes one.

If you have a 2nd stereo hi-fi vcr... Output the video from the rca video out on the first machine (you'll have your montage video in here) to video in on the recording machine (you'll need to put #2 vcr in A/V mode), rca from your audio source into the L-R in on #2. Hit record on vcr #2, Play on #1 and Audio source. It'll take some trial and error to sync the audio and video nicely, but it can be done. Oh yeah, make sure you do this all in SP mode, the video quality shouldn't degrade noticeably in 1 generation.
Congratulations! -lzb
