This question is easier to explain by telling you what I need to do, so that's what I'll do. I want to take songs by my little garage band and put them on a CD. I've got the part about recording with a multitrack, and I have an analog 4-track that records on cassettes because the digital are out of my price range. I want to know if there's a way to out put the cassette multitrack music to my computer and then record it. I'm not sure what it was exactly that I read, but I think I remember reading something a while ago that said I could do something like that, then use .wav format recording software to turn my music into .wav. Then I know that I can just burn the .wav files onto a CD. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

You need a soundcard ans software.
easy huh? Does your 4 tracker have a stereo "mix" out? If so you can get a soundcard with only 2 inputs, and yes... record the mix into the computer, actually improve the sound with sftware effects (compression/reverb/etc) and burn baby, burn! Or just buy one of those cd recorders for what 5 or 6 hunderd... then Mix down to that. Or... mail me a casette and for 200$ Ill send you 10 cd's!
I dont get out much.
