recording movements on the pan fader

Hi, I have a doubt and need to know how to do something. I want t create an effect by at between two points in a project that I'm working on, some instruments are panned, rhythmically, from side to side and don't know how to record these panning alterarions to the tracks. I'm sure that the manual will solve my doubts but I'm a lazy reader and would rather instead just finding the answer here. I knew how to do this on my midi projects with cakewalk but don't know how to record fader movements on Sonar. Thanks in advance for your help,

Use a panning envelope. What program are you using?

In Sonar, just right click on the waveform and choose Envelopes > Create Track Envelope > Pan.
