You need a preamp for each mic. Mixers do have preamps. Or you can get a stand alone preamp like the M-Audio DMP3, which is very good BTW.

You can only record in stereo using two mics at the same time. Each mic goes to either Channel 1 or 2 of the preamp. Output of Channel 1 of the preamp goes to Input 1 of your Delta. Output of Channel 2 of the preamp goes to Input 2 of your Delta.

In your tracking software, you will assign a track to each one of the inputs. For example, Track 1 = Delta input L 1/2, Track 2 = Delta input R 1/2.

Thank you so much!..i think i got the hang of it but i got another challenge for you lol this may be confusing but bare with me!!..ok....i can record in stereo fine..the levels say its recording in stereo..but when i play that section back that i recorded in stereo it only comes out my left speaker...ok ivv tryed for 2 days and i think ivv figured what the problem is..ok..i have two 250 watt speakers hooked up to a Realistic STA-2600 Digital Synthesized AM/FM Stereo Reciever it has 2 tape ins and outs..Tape 1 has 2 Ins and 2 Outs..Tape 2 has the same..it also has..Phono,CD/AUX,TV/AUX, channels.. all channels only connectable with patchcords...for a while i had my reciever TV/AUX outs running to a 1/8 inch stereo adapter into the factory soundcard .. ....it played stereo MP3s and stuff then..but now that i installed my new Delta 44 i plug that same connection into OUT 1(using a 1/4th adapter) of the Delta 44 and it only comes out my LEFT channel..(so the in and outs of the delta 44 must be mono?) so i was thinking about the situation and i looked on the back of my reciever and saw on the Tape ins and outs there were 2 rows on them on each Tape IN/OUT.. so im thinking about taking my connections out of the TV/AUX and hooking those up the the RIGHT colum of TAPE 1 and then running the same connection on the LEFT colum of Tape 1 to the Delta OUT #2 ..with all said said..would that make my playback stereo? lol this is probably confusing as heck ..sorry if it is..please help me out lol - Kyle
