hey.....

i've been dealing with this problem for weeks now. can anyone help? basically, i'm recording my guitar with cakewalk music creator. i pentium 4, 2.4 GHz, 512 MB ram .

i've been using my standard factory installed soundcard (SoundMax) up till yesterday and been recording fine... however, when i hear myself record, there was a SLIGHT delay from when i hit a note and hear it from my speakers.

So, i went out and bought a Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2zs. Now, there is a HUGE delay from when i hit a note to when i hear it. Can anybody help me?

I thought a better soundcard would be beneficial.

Thanks

You need to buy a soundcard made for recording not gameing.

You should be able to play with your latency settings and find something acceptable.

Take the audigy back and get a recording soundcard. Like the 2496 from m-audio.
