Hi, i am trying to record mixed down songs from mini disc on to cd's. I have an imation cd burner(internal) but when i hook my mini disc player in to the back of the comp it just plays through the speakers! I can't figure out how to add the minidisc tracks on the list of tracks to put on to the cd-r!
Please help as i have no clue and am running in circles literally! My feet are tired i need HELP!!!!
Cheers

First of all, you're probably hooking the audio out of the minidisc to the audio in of the soundcard, hence you can hear the music through the speakers. But all you are transmitting from the minidisc to the computer is the analog sound, not digital data. What you need to do is use an audio program like the one the comes with your soundcard or a third-party program such as SoundForge to "capture" the analog audio (which will automatically convert the analog to digital, usually .wav files at CD quality by default) to create .wav files which you can then burn onto CD-R by using a CD writing program such as Adaptec Easy CD Creator. Keep in mind that when you hook up your audio devices to your computer (usually via soundcard) you are only transmitting the audio, not any digital data whatsoever. Hope this helps.
