OK, here's the skinny -
I have a song or a few on the 4-track. I record it onto a CD-RW through a CD Recorder. Then I take the disk, put it in the computer and make a decent sounding MP3. (I only have a CD-ROM) BUT when I try and take that MP3 and record it back onto a CD in the CD Recorder, it sounds like crap. Is it the soundcard that blows? Should I just break down and buy some kind of mixer? Bottom line... I'm looking for a way to make my great songs (sure...) sound more "full" and, like many, I do it all myself without the luxury of a studio. I guess I need something between the 4-track and the CD Recorder or my stereo, for tapes. Something to lose some of the hiss and something to make the sound less "flat". What do I need? Thanks for any suggestions....
