I sometimes make background OOOhhhhs using my (almost acceptable) Falcetto voice and harmonizing & doubling etc.
Often I get a very resonant booominess in the voice that I can't seem to EQ out. I can't seem to find a position on the Mic to avoid this ( I use AKG C100 and Groove Tubes MD1B FET condenser mics) .
Is there some guidelines for avoiding this ???

Have you tried stepping back? Maybe that's proximity effect you are hearing. With falsetto, I wouldn't think there'd be that much low range information.

I agree with our pal Al, get off the mic when doing oohhhs. They're generally meant to be airy sounding.
