recording enviroment

iv heard that type of room you use depende on the out come of the recording the room im using has one wooden wall along the back and three brick walls example

can anyone one surgest a way that i could get a good sound out of this, is there any thing i could attach to the walls or a good set up for the kit and vocals thanks

You need to find a room that might have some sort of non-parallell walls.


Wood will absorb excess freqs better while brick might give you a more reverb/robotic effect (not generally a good thing).

That could help you determine if you want to record closer to the wood wall, or the brick wall.
