Come on R.E.!!!!!
Make those two files at JustOn.com public
so the members can hear what you're up to.
Just log in and select the file and then File/Edit .... "Publish to Web". Then just post the URLs here in the clinic.
The Hand Merchants have a great sound.
I'm having a blast encoding your CD.
But I had to take a break and publish my two favorites so far:
"Parallel" and "The Kiss"
I really got a kick out of that snicker on track 7 @ 5:42. Right On. I am the Walrus.

What's funny is you're the first person I know to ever catch that out of 700 or so CDs floating around so far.

I'll post The Kiss next if anyone else is interested from hearing Parallel.

Listening while mixing and/or transcribing
music is much different from a casual listen.
I admit that the main reason I caught that was a careful audition of all the endings.
I only got consistent intros on a few of the tracks because I decided that 500ms before track start sounded right only after doing a few at random. I'll also say that I'm kind of creeped out by listening this closely to any recording. It's like sniffing panties.

The thought process that led me to that conclusion was the same twisted reasoning that led Joni Mitchell to avoid doubledecker busses because there is no driver on the top.
Don't mind my schizoid ramblings.

Hey RE, did you use those Oktava mics on "Parallel"? If so, on what?

Refer to my original post on Parallel. My best mic was 2 C1000(old versions). Everything was recorded with C1000s other than the bass guitar cab and the bass drum which were recorded with an ATM25 and the toms and snare with 2 57s and a Beta 87.
