....You mean you're creating a drum track using MIDI in protools and a Drum Syntheizer, or are you actually Using a mic to physically record the speaker connected to your electronic drums? If it's the first one, have a track for each drum, cymbal, hi-hat, etc. If the second option,....you should have a track for every mic you're using...
thanks for your response. I'm going to use four or five tracks.
I just installed Reason Adapted and I'll use that.
I also want to record electronic guitar using my Yamaha keyboard. I still can't find the rhythm that I need from among the keyboard samples. Can I change the rhythm using protools?
Also, what can be done to make the keyboard chord transitions more smooth? When I change the harmonies there are awkward pauses.
Hold on. I can't help you until I understand you. You want to record guitar, with a keyboard?...You mean play notes on your keyboard and feed into a synth on your comp? Or is there something I'm missing.
using preset guitar voices with rhythm, I will play chords. However, I cannot find the exact rhythm that I need in these preset voices, so I would have to somehow edit it. Can I do this through protools?
So you're talking about one of those auto-accompaniment thingamajobs? If you don't like the rhythm, what's preventing you from just playing the part yourself in the rhythm that you want rather than relying on a preset?
