I have the oppurtunity to rent a studio space that's 8'x10' with low cielings ( 8 feet I think.) This space is set apart from other rooms so sound bleeding through the walls is non-existent. The walls are treated in the room and I will have access to gobos. Is it possible to get a decent sound from a small space such as this? How is the sound others are getting from small spaces?

Sam, do a search on recording/drums. I'm not Gidge, and I don't have his talent for "thread recall"! :D

I do remember a guy that was recording in a room that small or smaller and he had some pretty good comments and answers.
I got discouraged and went with V-Drums for my 12X12X7 studio/closet!

Good luck.
Post whatcha find out.

Also check Bruce's (Bluebear) threads on drum micing. Good stuff.
