recording cable question

ok, i have a Audigy 2 (i know it sucks) it has 1/8 line inputs on it.I have been using a Y cable into a stereo headphone extension cable for recording from my audiobuddy and other things( that way i can record 2 signals at a time).


Would it be better (as far as quality is concerned) to use a guitar cable from my pre amp then use a 1/4 to 1/8 adapter into my soundcard??

As long as your using quality cable, it should be fine.
it would be much better if you upgrade your card

its just a regular radio shack headphone extension cable.

Adapters are always less desireable than a hard-wired cable.
