I was thinking about trying to record electric bass with a DI and micing an amp at the same time. Is this a good idea and how would it work? I might get a Peterson Strobostomp tuner, which has an active DI, and would send the DI signal to my Digi 001 and the 1/4" out to my amp which I would mic. Would this work and record both tracks at the same time and blend them? Thanks a lot.

Yes. You could also flip the phase of one of them and then blend for more options.

I would not just blindly flip the phase. I would listen to the signal in both polarities adn then move the mic around for the best sound based on your listening. Also, do some research on the Peterson before you hook it up. Generally, active DI's require phantom power. If I remember right though, the Peterson is one that for some reason phantom power tends to damage.
