I'm new to home studio recording period. I would like to record some background vocals for some of the sequences that are used in my band. I have an ASR-10 sampler. I use it's sounds in many of the sequences. I was wondering if I should record these vocals straight into the sampler or should I use a Mackie 1202VLZ mixer (because of it's preamps) before going into the ASR-10? Do I need to use a pricier condenser type mic or is a Sennheiser e845 good enough for this purpose? I really could use some informative advice!!
