I'm trying to do some multi-track recording using Cool Edit Pro. The problem is that i'm trying to record guitar and vocals using some off the EAX effects built into my Audigy 2 which means i can't record directly from the mic or line-in. So if i'm recording guitar on one track and listening to say a drum loop on another track in the Cool Edit Multi-track view i end up recording the drums along with the gutar in to the new track. What i want to do is record on to a new track in cool edit using using just the line in or mic inputs but also be able to apply real time effects. I know Cool Edit supports effects but i need to hear the effects during the recording process. Can anyone help me with this?
