recording a web cast

Hey Everyone,

Does anyone know how to record something broadcast over the web? There is some stuff that i like to listen that is played over real player, but its not in an mp3 format i can download.

Is there a way to setup Cool Edit or something similar to record this in real time while it is playing on my computer?

I know its possible because i saw a webcast somewhere that someone recorded in this way.

If you are using any of the soundblaster cards, select the recording source to "WHAT YOU HEAR" and set the soundblaster as the recording device in your software (cooledit or cakewalk). Then you should be able to record anything that comes through your speaker.
