Recording a synth, simple question

Very simple question i think:

Microkorg > Delta 44 > Reaper OR

Microkorg > DMP3 > Delta 44 > Reaper

Best practise?

Run the synth directly into the Delta 44. The pre is an unnecessary extra stage in the signal chain.

And in any case, the Korg will be delivering a line-level output.

I run my Moogs through a JDI and Davisound mic amp or a GT Brick into my Lynx2A.

I'd at least try it both ways and see if you don't get a better signal through the DMP3.
