Recording a Steinway Duo-Art. I am new to this forum but I have read through many of the posts. I have just completed adding an electronic valve system to my Duo-Art reproducing acoustic piano that allows MIDI playing of original Duo-Art piano rolls. I wish to make some audio recordings. I was given a pair of Radio Shack 33-3027 microphones. (I know, after reading the posts most here think any radio shack microphone is crap). For a start I would like to use these just to see what happens and how good a sound reproduction I can get. Any suggestions would be appreciated as to microphone placement, use of a computer program that I can then record to CD's. I have a Pentium IV 2.0 GHz computer with a Sound Blaster Live! sound board and Roxio CD creator 6.0. What else do I need? Thanks for any help.
