Hello!

My problem is as follows:

I have my guitar plugged into the microphone jack of my soundcard and I have a program like GuitarFX 3 wich generates effects for my guitar...Unfortunatly the program doesn`t have a reocord option so I want to record my playing with Cool Edit Pro ( v2.0 ). But when I hit record it just records my clean guitar not the applied effects...My question is this: How can I record system sounds in cool edit pro?

Thanks

If you want effects on your guitar, you have three options:

* Add them at source when you record. Use a pod, for example.

* After you've recorded the dry guitar tracks, add the effects with Cool Edit or some other editing software that has effects. Reverb, for example, or delay.

* Instead of adding the effects with Cool Edit, use a plugin that will operate inside Cool Edit.

you didn`t understand me...

I want to be able to hit play in winamp and when I hit record in cool edit pro I want it to record what is beeing played in winamp... can it be done?

I managed to do that but I realised that when I hit cd audio in windows recording mixer (in winamp) my microphone input doesn`t work in my effects program either...what can I do?

You'll have to set up CEP to record what's being played through the windows mixer, or through your soundcard's mixer.
