Hey guys
I've got a 12" Mac ibook g4 laptop.. it's got 512ram, i think 1000mhz processor.
Installed is Logic 7.0, protools (Mbox2), garage band and peak.
I also have my desktop here at home. It's a shuttle computer I built a year 1/2 ago.. 1.5ghz 512 DDR. I'm more comphy with this because I can use my 17"monitor.. maybe theres a way with the mac but I'm just learning mac's so i dont know.. the only recording software I have on here is Cubase LE 24track, which has done pretty good so far at least for recording.
I'm going to buy another 512 stick of ram for either or, whichever I end up doing the recording on. The best I could find the mac ram for was $150, and I think the PC ram is somewhere around $50.

I'm recording with a Presonus firepod.. It uses firewire which both computers have. Any suggestions?
With my limited knowledge, the best solution I could think of was to track w/the PC and Cubase, then send the files to the mac for mixing with logic or protools. Keywords in that long sentence-- Limited knowledge. Help me out here!
Thanks :)
Scott

Much as I love OSX (I have both mac and PC) the desktop is probably a better machine to invest in for recording. The 1G on the iMac *might* outdo the PC, barely... but you can put a faster drive in the PC, more memory for less money in the PC, etc.

Have fun,
Chris

and then bring it into protools or logic for mixing/mastering?
