Recommendations on a soundcard Plz?

I have a Delta 1010, a P3 450Mhz (with 196 Ram, and 20Gb HDD), a DigiTech Studio, but my soundcard is a
videologic SonicStorm.
Recording thru it (prior to the 1010) had latency up to 100ms (Yikes), will I still get the latency problem using the 1010 (unopened at the mo)? If I will could you plz suggest a good sound card combination for my gear, and also suggestions for recording s/ware (was using Pro Tools Free - but I don't think you can buy the LE version without their h/ware)

I've been able to get my latency down to 21ms with my Delta 66 using Cubase. If you use Cubase, make sure you use the ASIO driver for the Delta card. It's somewhere in the Audio>System setup. YOu can try the different settings to see what gives you the lowest latency.

By the way, my audio system currently is an AMD K6-2/500 with 192 megs of ram, and 13.6 gig, 7200rpm HD.
Nothing special.

I would think your latency will be lower, with the 1010 on your system.
