Hi,

I have an upcoming event to record a church choir in March 25th, 2007. I would like to know if the Rode Nt4 should do the job. The choir is 20 members and the recording is going to take place in the church. The church acoustic is great and I would like to capture both the choir and the natural reverb of the building. No instruments! Only vocals.

My new Zoom H4 is going to be used for the recording using the two Xlrs inputs. I am looking for a good quality stereo mic. I would appreciate your input.

Few people suggested to me to use Rode Nt4 xy mic.

Is there any reason why you don't think they'd work?

Why do you ask? Are they broken? Make funny noises?

Help us out here.

You should close mic each individual vocalist with a shure beta 87...

I'd probably just use the mics in your Zoom unit or maybe look at getting a pair of omni small diaphragm condensers. The Avensons are nice. You might get a pair of the MXL 604s which come with cardioid and omni caps.

I have not used the Rode Nt4 yet. That is why I am asking for a good recommendation in selecting good Mics that can work good with the Zoom H4.
