recommend a soundcard..

im looking to buy a new soundcard. i want to get one that has multiple inputs, and in the recording program each one comes out on a seperate channel. get it? help me out... because that would be awesome.
 
as many as possible i suppose, what are my options along the lines of inputs?

Minimum: 2.
Maximum: 128 if you buy external converters....

something 8-12 channels would be nice. and a software that will put each channel as it own track.
 
Check out the Firepod. It will do 8 channels and comes with Cubase s/w

I bought mine from JDSound, who offer a (lousy) mic stand, a cable, and an AT2020.

Not sure what the Cascade mics are like, but since Bayview Pro Audio is the only company that sells them, I'd guess they're just a rebranding of one of the Chinese condenser makers, in which case you'd probably be happier with the AT2020 deal.
