What I was trying to do is record guitar, bass,mic ect.. I have the delta 66 MAudio.Soundcard came with the hardware.Working fine for some time.Slowly it sounded as if the speakers were starting to go.Now they sound really bad.i:e like an old Kinks record.With the slashed speakers.Even at very low volume.I was wondering if this is a bad program anyway and what is good for a novice like me.Also can you overtime damage the soundcard so it would sound as if the speakers are bad.Simple enough?

Are you sure your speakers aren't blown? Does it distort on playback of everything?

I went and got new speakers yesterday and tried them same thing.

Judging from your other posts, I think you have a bad 66 card or breakout box.
