I've had some gear stored in a friends' basement for several years. I'm going over to pick it up this weekend. It'll be good to get it back.
Some miscellaneous PA gear, some stomp boxes, cables. But the thing I'm really looking forward to playing with is the old (vintage unknown but I'm thinking late '60s to early '70s) 100-watt Matamp tube amp. The thing is a tank and saw me through many, many hours of playing, years ago. Matamp was the amp design used in the original Orange amps, if that gives you any idea. They have a lot of headroom and sound great clean or with a little edge, and when you push them (and blow the walls off whatever room you're in) they get pretty Marshall-y sounding, if not quite so thick.
Anyhow, I'm going to play with a stereo setup, and I'm sure my wife will love adding it to the growing pile of stuff in my recording alcove off the bedroom. Maybe do an A/B setup with the Vox AC30 doing the dirty work and the Matamp for clean.
More toys!
