Hi i have few questions regarding recapping capacitors to 200b i nearly went to buy all the materiels in local store they had all or similar until i ended up in the internet jungle of quality etc for the boards components. So if someone have done this on this particular mixer i would be really pleased to hear more about which brands to go for with this mixer.Im no pro on the subject but i can sold and by the convenient layout with strips i have the time to great but......now i need the parts and where to get.ps my model is the one with 2 sweepable 4 band EQ. tnx a lot on behalf a worrying delightfull owner of my best purchase ever.

check out digikey.com incedently you do know that you only replace the electrolytics dont you???? dont forget the power supply...

I would talk to the guys at Creation Audio Labs, or even at Blevins Audio:)

Yes, You generally only have to replace the electrolytics and if there are any Ceramic caps you might want to replace those also with a Poly or Film cap of the same Value.....

Generally all caps that are in the audio signal path should stay the same Value but any Local Power Decoupling caps and PSU Filter caps could probably benefit with useing a Higher Value cap......

For longer Life between recappings you should use 105c electrolytic Caps as opposed to the 85c caps as they will last longer......

As for what type of electrolytics to use I guess that depends on how much you can afford and what is available, I hear good things about Nichicon Muse caps, and Black Gates but they only come in Certain Values and are Very expensive, Panasonic FM caps are supposed to also be good......

Cheers

Tnx a lot for nice info i got the picture now found some sites regarding this also at some reading i actually took every strip out to bottom and used compressed air and contact spray im into taking some oxides out and resolder some On the more troublesome strips dudes my strips is all fine now.for the recapping part it sounded bit much to me im glad solid cleaning can do so much without thinking so it actually sound better now and no scratches anymore just the damn hiss from the PSU :/ guess i have to look into that one..Anyways tnx a lot for info and yeah i also ended up with nichikon as primarly nice parts...Mr.Melter
