Rebirth on a budget

Anyone know of a good deal on Rebirth??? The only place on the net I have found it had it for $180. Also does anyone use it??? Gimme a review!!! Am I about to blow a lot of cash??? I played around with the demo version and it was pretty addictive... and I HATE techno, house, rave etc... Can you program alternate time signatures or are you stuck with /8???

Rebirth is a great program with the exception of it being a "Program"....see it is software and you cannot tweek it out as if it were outboard gear. now you can, however, set it up with midi and control certain patterns. you also can control alot of the functions thru your keyboard. i personally love it.....it is important to recognize that it is not a drum machine per say. You have "Mods" that are created by Propellerheads and users which give you preprogrammed sounds to play with....in rebirth 2.0 you will get two 303's which give you that acid type sound, 808 for some cool snare drums, high hats, bassdrums etc....and one 909 for some phat kicks......compressor, distortion, pcf filter, delay....all for about $200 go ask how much all this will cost individually?....if your gonna make dance type stuff then i would recommend it....but keep in mind you need a decent sound card if you want to use it to record decent stuff......any more questions check out the www.propellerheads.se/home and get a demo......it's free!!!
