Hello all,
I would like ideas for the most sensible software for my needs.
I use Protools rec software on a PC. I know,I know! But so far it works great for what I need done. I also have in my studio an M1 Korg keyboard. I would like a program that would allow me to play drum parts, bass parts and maybe horn parts on my keyboard and via midi record them into my protools sessions.
I am a songwriter so, I don't really approach things like an engineer. It needs to be relatively user friendly. I do need to worry about cost but, I wanted to determine what would do the job before I figure out how to pay for it. I have heard of reason, sampletank, and a few others. Some work with protools but not on a PC, others don't work well on Protools, if you're not interfaced with Venus when its in full rut with Jupiters house and all that kind of thing! Maybe I'm just a dummy. Anyway I would sure appreciate wisdom from the recording gods. Please help.
