Reason Question for the Pro's

Do any of you know how to make a wah wah sound effect with the guitars in reason, this would be much appreciated
 
My suggestion would be to buy a wah pedal and hook it up with your controller. I had asked someone that same question at a music shop I get some of my equipment from and that's what he suggested.

He said the signal should carry through from the pedal to the midi controller and sync with the guitar sound reason is playing.
 
If you just want a digital wah wah that stays on the guitar signal, you can use the Scream Distortion plugin. You can bypass the distortion and just use the effects. You can make nice electric guitars... Also use the pitch wheel to make slides and the modulation wheel.

I totally forgot about Scream. Heard it was good for that but never tried it. Might have to do that :)

im working on this mixtape and i needed a couple of gunshots,explosions, etc. and i just remembered that alot of my old samples were lost when i restarted my computer (i have an external drive now, all is well) so i was SOL when it came time for the effects. thanks again man

Not to seem bothersome but u got any explosions?

Here's a example on how to make live sounding wah guitars. I made a fast Reason 3.0 session with different guitars and bass. I made it more like old rock so you can get a good idea.

Hey i got an idea!

How about we start a thread where we all help each other out by putting up some samples like once a month. you know a zip file or a rar file or 2 to help each other out (you know, like strings, synths, drums, etc.).

it'll be just for all of us to be able to find samples of what ever we may need for a particular project or watever!

it would help the newbies as well as the vets, i mean we all know there are people on this forum and others who are just too scared to ask for help. we all see how many people go through threads, way more than those who post.

besides who was never in that mood where your making wat seems like the perfect peice of music you ever created and was frantically looking for a sound you may have mis placed or may have lost over time, heck just working together on something else would be cool.

just my 2cents, just and idea
 
sounds like a good idea to me...i think we all need to start networking more with AIM and sharing libraries and refills...im sure weve all got huge libraries that are full of different sounds, just imagine if we all had all of each others sounds.
