sup all

im using Reason 2.5 on an iMac and i have an oxygen 8 hooked up via the usb port.. now.. i got it plugged in and all that and im gettin voices when im hittin the keys through Reason but the problem is that when i switch MIDI control from lets say the NN19 to the Maelstrom via moving that white circle to the left of the device, I either will still get the NN19 voice or itll play the Maelstrom *on top of* the NN19.. although the green level bar and mixer levels seem to say that everything's fine.. and it seems only sometimes does it do this.. I gotta think that my setup is screwed up but I cant seem to fix it and the guide didnt point me towards gettin it fixed either..

as far as preferences go:
under MIDI - Port: [1x1] Port 1 (with green check) and Channel: 1
under Advanced MIDI - Bus A - Bus D: [1x1] Port 1 (with green check)
Remote Control and MIDI Clock Sync: No MIDI Input

as far as my MIDI IN DEVICE:
Channel 1 - Channel 4 are each set to a separate device (NNXT, NN19, Maelstrom & Subtractor, respectively)

sorry for the length but this way i dont hafta do too much answering of basic questions.. thanks in advance for any help

You need to have nothing in the top menu if you do not want the synths to layer as you are describing.

Uncheck/undo/deselect the top row so that it's blank.

Then move the midi circle from one track to another in the sequencer screen. This will let you hear one synth at a time.
