I use Reason 3.0 when I record piano with sustain pedal pressed, the notes are sustained and much louder than normal, with sustain depressed, the notes are much quiter... I use Korg triton studio as a controler, and sometimes roland va76, both of them make this sustain problem, i even tried different sustain pedals. whats wrong?

The sustain pedal sends a Midi 'Continuous Controller' message to control the sound, in this case CC # 64.

Continuous Controller 64 is a switch type controller with any value under 63 transmitting 'off' and any value over 64 transmitting 'on'.

What is happening is that what Reason expects as on/off is inverted inside both the Korg and the Roland as off/on.

Both keyboards probably have a page on which you can correct this. Find it in the manual under 'sustain pedal polarity' --- just remember to switch it back when you want to play the sounds from the keyboard itself.
