Reaper starts recording my e-drums but then after few beats stops. help?

Hi.
I have new e-drum set Medeli DD508. I have also Reaper and ezdrummer. My drumkit is connected to the computer via usb.
Everything goes well and reaper recognizes my drumkit but when i start recording it just takes few beats and then nothing.
What might be the reason for this? I have read a lot of posts on forums but haven`t met any answers to my problem yet so I am asking from you.

Are you trying to record AUDIO from your edrums or MIDI control signals?
 
Well I think the "sound" comes as an MIDI to the computer but then the EZdrummer which is Vsti program turns it into sound immediatly. So i think i am trying to record audio.
Sorry I am new to these things. Any advice?
 
As it comes in as midi (as you say) try recording to midi track.
 
I already have and it does not work. what happens in the recording is that when i play slowly the reaper records (but the tempo is very very very slow) but when i increase the tempo then the recording stops...could it be some problem with the memory usage or VST program?
