Hi, new guy here just diving into Reaper. I have been enjoying the forum for a couple of weeks now.

Can anyone help me with time shifting in Reaper? I saw a technique where you duplicate an acoustic guitar track and then move one track a little (maybe 10ms) to get a real nice effect. I have not been able to find this in the Reaper manual. Maybe they call it something else.

If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Thank you.

If you are just looking to simulate stereo by duplicating and moving some items around:

Right click in the TCP (the area where you adjust channel volumes and pans) and chose "duplicate track"

Now go to the arrange window and left click and drag on an item and move it, somewhere between 20 and 60 msec or so

Thanks Pipeline.

By the arrange window, do you mean the graphic display of the recording? How do I determine how much I am moving it?

Thanks,

As you're dragging the track, it will tell you in a little popup/tooltip window "Position: ". You might have to zoom in or it will drag too much.

I can go from position 1.1 to 1.2 but nowhere in between. Am I missing something?

Right click around the bottom right where you see the bpm and time displays and stuff and set it to time or seconds or something, seems like its set to bars/beats/measures on yours right now
