reaper answers

the forum has it's place, but a site like this is for getting answers fast. people ask the same questions over and over on forums. most of those questions get lost in the shuffle, and the cycle continues. also, forum threads can get pretty long sometimes. on an answers type site, when you ask a question, you're shown previously asked questions that are similar to your question. seeing previously asked questions like this might prevent you from asking the same thing again. answer type sites also allow users to rate answers, pushing them to the top.

Seriously though, the usefulness of something like this is pretty much entirely dependent on how helpful of a community it builds up.
