Taking the slow road
i haven't insatlled any other audio interfaces yet, installed Reaper but it isn't working with the sock embedded sound card, realtek.
audio ok from standard sources, Reaper message is that there was an error opening your audio hardware, whould you like to view your audio device configuration?"
but none of the options work.
i updated the driver, realteck high definition audio - on a Dell 531
