Basically I paid a guy I know to mix this, along with other songs and I want some feedback from experienced people such as yourselves. Thank you in advance, and let me know if I can return the favor, thanks

www.myspace.com/sadistik1 The song is called " Playing God "

The samples are good.
The mix is good, as in very good.
the intro is really interesting but the actual rap is too fast for non rap fans like me to hear & understand.
What's with the pause? Is it a download/streaming prob.?
The profanity spoils the message by the way.

Thanks Freudian... And to Ray, thanks for the listen and critique... On the profanity thing, I believe the only line with cursing was " gods love is a conjugal visit, cuz you just get fucked while youre locked in a prison" which is kind of necessary to make that line work. Thanks for the reply tho, and other comments on the mix are appreciated.

You said you paid to have this mixed. Expensive?
I assume you recorded or sampled the beats & recorded the vocal. Did you stitch the sequence together or was that done by the mixer as well?

Mix sounds fine but this line will never work. God's love isn't a visit. It is there all the time, only you can't see it when you have your back turned to him. Sooner or later a day will come when you can't hide! Cool rap.

Ray - The mix was relatively inexpensive, but I want to make sure that the quality will be up to standards for a solid independent album. The beat was made by 2 producers I work with which was partly sampled and partly played I believe.

NY MorningStar - Thank you for the critique, and I guess well agree to disagree on the subject matter of the song, I know its a bit intense or from left field, but to each his own.

Anymore in depth critique on the mix would be appreciated, thanks

I'll give you what I can when I get on a pc with speakers. I am not huge fan of hip hop or rap, but the conversation about the lyrics has me intrigued.

I'm the cuss & generic digital distortion policeman on this site. Others oversee god bothering, racism, guitarists playing bass etc.
Nothing like a range of views, opinions & beliefs to make a tolerant, multicultural world.
I take the point about the need to use expletives to make the point. I'm genreally just narky about gratuitous use, profanity as punctuation so to speak.
I like the imagery now I've read it.
Perhaps you should post lyriccs to help a rap retarded crumbly like me.

I think this is a pretty good song. Good delivery on the vocals and good rhythmic approach on the structure. Certainly the artist takes himself seriously.

I don't see however anything particulary unique, let alone progressive, about it. Am I missing something?
