How does this work anyway?
I tried to post some RA files on my site when Sonic Foundry had a beta test of Stream Anywhere ... but could never get it to work right. It always downloaded the whole tune before it would play anything.
Do you need a special server to stream the ra file from other than the one the web site is on?
I'm clueless...
Thanks!

You need to create a .ram file and link to that on your page.
A .ram file is just a plain text file that contains the full url of the realaudio (.rm or .ra) file.

For example, if you have a file called song.rm, create a text file called 'song.ram'. You can do this in notepad, and just put in it something like 'http://www.myserver.com/song.rm' (without the quotes).
Make sure you change the extension to .ram from .txt

Create your link to 'http://www.myserver.com/song.ram'

When you click on the link, the browser will read the ram file then launch realplayer, and stream your realaudio clip.

Hope this helps!

(check out my website to see it in action!)
