....blah blah blah...:D

Hey guys, I posted this in it's original form a few months ago. I've worked on it and re-tracked vocals, drums, and re-wrote parts.

Would like to know how the guitars sound in particular, but any help on anything else is always appreciated. Thanx

INDIAN SUMMER

I like how the guitars sound alot. Very different than what I can remember your guitars sounding in the past. Sounds like you're using some fuzz now.

Hey ram, the guitars are filling and the tones are fitting for the tune. The repeating crunchy riff is kind of hypnotic the way it is... cool  Doesn't get in the way of the vox too.Since you're running the same line between and during the chorus, it might sound cool to add another guitar track in a lead tone when you're not singing to surround the listener in that riff even more... just an idea...
Fuzzy solo tone is unique too, fits well.
I especially like the bass sound on my system... it's real distinguishable in any part of the song... it's locked in real nice with the drums too.
Nice work, cheers to a good track ;)

Guitars - More fuzzy than I remember your tone being. I like it though.

Bass - Sounds perfect to me. Just loud enough to hear it clearly, not boomy, and it has a nice tone to it. Stands out but doesn't get in the way of anything else.

Drums - What else to expect from a drummer? :D They sound good as always.

Vocals sit nicely with everything and aren't too upfront or too far back.

I didn't hear the last version of this but I like this one. Not really sure I would change anything...

Thanx alot, guys. Yeah, the guitar tone is a little different, which is why I wasn't 100% sure about it.
It's funny that it comes out sounding "fuzzy". All I really did was use the same sound I usually use, but I turned the tone down on my guitar. I turned it half-way down for the rythms and all the way down for the leads, which is why it sounds fuzzier.

Thanx for the help.

I remember this one. The guitars sound great in this. The tone reminds me of Badfinger. Nice change ups

Thanx Bull...I love Badfinger. Not that I was trying to get that sound, but if I did by acccident, then that's a bonus.

I now know why you wanted me to push my guitars forward ... you REALLY like guitars forward. :D They're a little too forward for my tastes, as they're sort of dominating to the point of masking out other elements --- hard to hear what's going on around them. So I'd pull them back a bit -- but I like the tone employed.

Love the bass tone too ...

And the vocals are spot on. The harmonies are particularly good.

Nice clean recording, R - good work.

Best,

Kev-

Thanx alot, Kev....Yes, this song is more guitar-dominated. Maybe too much. I'll pull them back and see if the rest breathes a little more.

Thanx, dude. :)

I agree with K-dub. Guitars are a little too dominant, but not by much. Tone is good, as is everything else. Good job as usual. :)

I really enjoyed your song:)

Didn't hear the previous version, but this one sure sounds great to me.

It has a nice flow to it. Easy to listen. Your drums are very well done as are your guitars.

Great song!

Cheers!

Didn't know you were mainly a drummer. You sure can play guitar & bass too!!

You don't have to buy a Clapton Strat - you've nailed the tone  Your rhythms don't sound like you've turned down the tone too much - they are still nice and clear, raunchy, bright enough. So not muddy like it might be if you turned it too low. At the end I would drop the guitar and let the vocals carry it out...they are omnispectcular! :D

Thanx, buddy. I'll bring the guits down a bit when the vocals come in.

Hey Nico...thanx alot. Yes, I play drums first. But my other instruments have improved alot since I started coming here and posting. Thanx for the listen

Cool, when I think of Clapton, I think of a clean-ish sound. But I guess with Cream, he had some balls...so I hope that's what you're talking about. :D :D :D

I tried ending with just the vocals, but I found it sounded too "nice"...I needed something to make it sound "wrong". :D

Thanx, Ido. :)

I remember - GREAT rhythm track.
RAMI the Retrack Rat!
I like the fact that when you tinker you take it somewhere BETTER.
Badmotherfinger music.

Guitar sounds great to me...like the crunch..composition/style of this kinda reminds me of Matthew Sweet. Those vocals...man, I dig how you do 'em!The backing vox sound great! Drums rock as well. I am trying to be critical, but this sounds real cool to me!:D

Yes - I'm referring to the solo and it's sound - it reminds me of a number of Clapton's solos. Creamy? creamy? :D

Mix sounds well balanced here. Bass gtr and kick mesh really well. I like the gtr tones and lines. A lot going on with interesting interweaving parts but still good clarity. Maybe it's just me but I hear a little influence in this one of the arranging style of LPC, which is cool.

Sounds pretty good to me. Guitars fit the song. Bass and kick drum sound really great together...

I did notice at 1 minute a crackling noise, maybe to much volume getting pushed on something or a certain frequency getting over done? Other than that, sounds pretty dang good.

Hmmmm....I can't say I didn't listen to their CD alot. But, I think I first did this song before I even got their CD. It never crossed my mind while writing or recording this, but who knows what creeps into your brain sometimes.

Rami,
Love it!

Please PLEASE tell me how you got the Bass to sound that way.
I am a drummer too, but my twin brother is a Bass player and I never can get his bass to sound this way where it translates well over small speakers. Clear / full / punchy.
Pleas have pity! Let me know ALL.

Tom
