My blues band has recently recorded for a local government cable TV channel that does music spots with their regular programig to spot light musicians. It is all done free as a public service. They have not recorded an all electrified band before us, as moslty thay have done blue grass type groups.
When they gave me the DVD to evaluate, I heard the piano was WAY to loud in three of the twelve songs and the 2 guitars were weak in all songs, except for possibly one. They had a direct feed from our PA head as all cabs, drums, etc. were mic'ed.
My question is this. Is anyone able to take this Mini DV and re-record it to another Mini DV with the volume brought down on the piano and the volume brought up on the guitars? If only the piano were adjusted, it would be a BIG help. Once the new Mini DV were completed, I would give it BACK to the studio who would then edit it to fit the TV program onto a DVD as before.
