Pleads the 5th...
I've remixed these two songs, and posted them on mp3.com, awaiting approval. If anybody could give them a listen, and give me your thoughts on what they need, it would be appreciated. They've come a long way, but, I think they still have a ways to go. I've also loaded them onto my personal website. The links below point directly to the song files, so you won't have to wander my webpage to find them! This way, if I can tweek them prior to getting approved, I'll just update my mp3 page, and hopefully get the better mix posted while I'm waiting.

Haha, wow. I thought it was the new millinieum, for a second I was stuck back in the 80's. :)

Anyways, your Labor Day song, since I am not a mixing the only thing I can really recommend is on your "Bah-Bah-Bah-Bah" Part do it the opposite way. Instead of starting left start right. I think the last Bah should be the most prominent but it is rather quiet. So I guess you could just raise the level on the last bah instead of changing the pan.

Well, I just half-heartedly A/B-ed Love me Till Labor Day, and it sounds even better! (a LOT better, but not because the first one was bad. A/B-ing them just revealed some other stuff, llike that pronounced hiss at the beginning of "A" and the kick that just bounced out of the speakers). I'll try and catch it once MP3 gets it up.

Btw, cool site. Good pictures (what happened to the Dart? and is that THE Paddy OReilly?)

Yeah, that's Paddy (Fields of Atenry) alright. I played a gig with him in Charlestown, Ma., around St. Patrick's Day a few years back. Quite a character to say the least. As for the Dodge Dart, The one night my partner decides to to go out with me after playing Happy Hour because "he" was too drunk (and I thank my lucky stars for that). At the risk of aging myself, this was back in the days when drunk driving, albeit a bad thing, wasn't really enforced as strictly as today. Do I drink & drive now? NO! I still have a few pops when I play out, but I don't get behind the wheel. The bar I play at mostly is a summer gig 200 feet away from my cottage, so I crawl home and pass out in my hot tub. BTW, I drove the car the rest of the way home after I removed the telephone pole from the front of the car.
