Ok, ok people back on track here.

Next tip: Recording bass guitar -
Set up a mic on the bass cab, then take either a DI off of the bass guitar or take it out of the amp, and lastly (in a separate room from the cab) set up a mic on the strings of the bass guitar, then mix the 3 signals together. Click here to check out the full article.

My tip is to use a smallish guitar amp and overdrive it to the hilt.Did you know that jimmy page got his sound using a supro anp with an 8 inch speaker.


By the way Frank_1, Good luck with the website. I just completed a website for hamster lovers and It was quite easy.I didnt have any trouble at all.

Getting the tiny corsetts on the little varmits was the hard part.:D
 
Okay I'll be serious...

A pointer on EQ for guitars.
Guitars are defined in the mids. The mids are it's foundation. Eliminating low end is a good idea. The main frequencies lye in the 400Hz to 800Hz range. Also the upper mids are important for clarity; the 1k to 5k range.
