Hi,

I have an MXL v69me tube mic and it's picking up a radio station. Being the fearless adventurer I am, I plugged the three-prong power supply into a two-prong "cheater" plug, as I understand this gets around "dirty" power.

Not a lick of difference! Not even one decibel! What can this possibly mean?

(I think that ultimately what it means is that I should just use dynamics, because my music isn't good enough to justify using a real microphone. But anyway..)

Thanks guys.

What makes you think the mic is the problem, oh fearless one?

I can't be at all sure it's the mic. But, if I plug a cheap dynamic mic into the same input, I don't have the problem at all.

Thanks for answering.
