I went to my local Radio Shack to get a digital audio cable, to connect an ART DPS to my Korg recorder. They have their own "Digital GOLD Series" cables for about $10, and then Monster cables for close to $40. The sales guy told me that it would make a noticeable difference in sound quality if I didn't buy the Monster cables. Was he telling me straight, or just trying to increase his commission?!?
Drew.

It used to be long, long ago that Radio Shack guys knew what they were talking about. IMO, Monster cables are for suckers.

RS cables will work great. With an ART DPS and a Korg you're a long long way from being where the brand of cable will make a difference over short runs (no offense: I feel the same way about my rig).

To a certain extent, digital either works or it doesn't. If the signal makes it through the cable, there shouldn't be a loss of quality. Crappy analog cables can have an adverse effect on the sound, but crappy digital cables just don't work.
