Radar Panels........?????????

Looking around at the insulation dept. at Home Depot I noticed 1" 2x4 "radar panels.........
Can these be used to treat areas of a small room? Are they somewhat reflective? It looks like the stuff used in drop ceilings at public school!!!!!!!!

No.............not really sure why they call them radar panels either.
I am sure they could be used to treat a flat surface as they are somewhat non-reflective.......but they are not like fiberglass insulation at all.
They are dense and ridgid.
