Rackmount systems for AV studio

Im building a studio desk. I want to do it right. Its made for primarily Video work, but also audio. I have located the proper 'desk' thats used but will work very well. It is about seven feet long and two feet wide, and the holding columns are rackmount systems which is exactly what i want. Besides one thing that you guys would be able to help with. The desk is single layer, and I would like to create a piece thats raised in the back for the monitors. If you know what I mean, so they are raised from the rest of the desk. This creates opportunities for rackmounts. In between the main desk and the monitor piece. It would only be a few inches, but this would be a good spot to put stuff thats most commonly used, Blackmagic design, wireless mic kit, etc. does anybody know of a rackmount that i could implement into this? Its essential if I want to use space well. Also a good spot for rackmount studio monitors, for both video monitoring, and audio playback.

Any feedback would be awesome. This is standard rackmount, i dont have the size memorized, but you guys probs know this.
