Rackmount Question

Hey. I really appreciated all of your help with this stuff, I have another question though....

Do I need some sort of amp that would power all my effect units in my rackmount, or can I just plug the individual effect units into a powerstrip?
Is it completely neccessy for an actual rack if I'm only running like 4 units?

You don't "need" a rack for 100 units if you don't mind stacking them around the room. No amp needed of any kind. As long as the total load of the individual units don't exceed the amperage rating of the outlet your plugging into, that's just how you'd plug them in (into a power strip then to a electrical outlet).
