Hi all,
OK, I'm stuck. I'm trying to use the QWERTY keyboard as a MIDI input device to add notes on a MIDI track in CUBASE.
I've looked around and have installed a few programs (Virtual Midi keyboard and QWERTY Keyboard Midi 1.1 and others), all of which do produce the default paino sound when you hit a key on your key board. So I assume from this that there *is* actually a MIDI output from these programs.
My problem is getting this MIDI output to talk to Cubase.
In the Settings of Virtual Midi Keyboard I there is a dropdown labelled Midi-port with the options of "None" or "Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth". I assume this is choose *where* to send midi info
In Cubase, no idea.
Can anyone help with this? I have to sort it out before I get on the plane
Cheers,
FM
